  • What funding program fits my project objectives?
  • What is a call for proposals?
  • What are the main features?
  • How to read a call for proposals
  • What kind of project support can be applied for?
  • Grants, loans, guarantees, eligible costs
  • Which European policies and strategies have to be considered?
  • How to elaborate a project application form
  • Formal criteria and technical requirements
  • Mapping the project idea in the form

By the end of the seminar, you

  • are able to compare project needs with the objectives of the EU funding programs.
  • are able to interpret the intent, relevance, and thematic background of questions in EU Project Application Forms.
  • are able to differentiate between different sections in the application form.

Teaching and learning methods

The following teaching and learning methods will be used: lecture, small group and partner work, discussion, self-study, feedback.

  • How to deliver the key messages / the USP of a project
  • How to formulate successful proposals
  • How to schedule a project
  • How to budget a project
  • Calculation of project costs
  • Real cost approach versus simplified methods
  • Tips and obstacles or dos and don’ts

By the end of the seminar, you

  • are able to analyse the effects of different cost calculation methods.
  • are able to construct applications based on the most common application forms including technical requirements (online-submission).
